The development of a Dura Ace R9100 high precision, easy to use and reliable shifting system was the main goal of the Shimano engineers. The result was a reworked construction of the front derailleur that needs reduced strength when shifting but delivers a precise shift result. This mechanical shift system sets the level of performance of mechanical shifting even higher.
